Too big, too grand, for words
The profusion of life on the coast of British Columbia defies description. At least by me, in this language. There is simply too much complexity, beauty, wonder, and deep history to render into neat, tidy sentences. Because nothing here is neat or tidy. It is a riotous explosion of life colliding with the elements. The wheeling gulls, the mountains, the ocean, the breath of whales—witnessing it all sends emotional shock waves deep into my chest, where they get lodged into some place not found in any anatomy text. Some things are simply too big, too grand, for words.
