Jenny Kingsley’s new book PaddleNorth: Adventure, Resilience, and Renewal in the Arctic Wild is now available, and I’m very excited about it. Jenny is an adventurous soul and a great friend, but she is also a fabulous writer. She even has an MFA in writing to prove it.
Jenny and I have spent weeks and weeks paddling wilderness waterways together. Her book chronicles our biggest adventure: a 56 day, 1000 km canoe expedition down the Back river in Nunavut with four other friends. It was an adventure of superlatives. Dreams came true on that trip. But there were also some mishaps, and even some tears.
I think you should buy the book. I think you’ll like it. But if you want a more objective review, you can read this one by Robyn Read.
You can order your very own copy at your local independent book store or right here.
